Straz Center Parking

CONSTRUCTION ALERT

Please be aware that due to existing and planned construction in close proximity to the Straz Center, the pedestrian bridge from the Poe Garage to the Straz Center has been removed. If you choose to park at the Poe Garage, please follow the signs from the first floor of the garage to the alternate pedestrian walkway.

As always, we recommend arriving early for your event and exploring all available parking options in advance, including pre-paid parking for select events.

We’ve put together some commuting and parking options to help smooth your journey into Downtown Tampa. We recommend using Google Maps, Waze or a similar Traffic and GPS app when planning your arrival to any of the parking areas.

PRE-PAID PARKING

Prepaid parking is sold based on the time of the show you’re attending. So, even if you do not see your show title listed, that’s OK. Simply select another show occurring at the same date/time.

Locations available:

Anchor Garage (formerly the Novel Riverwalk Garage). The Straz Center has secured 319 parking spaces in this garage adjacent to the Barrymore Hotel that will be available to our guests every Monday-Friday after 6 p.m. and all day every Saturday and Sunday. The least expensive rate for major Straz events is available only by pre-purchasing your parking.

Royal Regional Lot. This parking lot is the most affordable option - around $3 - with 60 of its 315 spots available for pre-paid parking. It is a six-minute walk to The Straz.

Rivergate Tower. It has the most available spaces - up to 600 - and is the least congested upon arrival and exit. Pre-pay to park here, then take a six-minute stroll along the Riverwalk or three blocks down Ashley Drive to The Straz.

Poe Garage. This is a close, pre-paid parking option with 160 of its 900+ spots available for pre-purchase. Please be aware that due to existing and planned construction in close proximity to the Straz Center, the pedestrian bridge from the Poe Garage to the Straz Center has been removed. Please follow the signs from the first floor of the garage to the alternate pedestrian walkway.

TECO North Lot. This lot is located across the street from the Poe Garage on Ashley Drive. A limited number of spaces are available for pre-purchase.

LEAVE-YOUR-CAR-AT-HOME RECOMMENDATIONS

Lyft or Uber

Lyft (www.lyft.com) or Uber (www.uber.com) is perfect for guests who want to avoid parking issues or enjoy an adult beverage or two at the show.

Pirate Water Taxi

Dine at a restaurant on the river and take the Pirate Water Taxi to the The Straz. The Pirate Water Taxi stops seven days a week at fixed locations along the Tampa Riverwalk, Davis Islands and Harbour Island, including Stop 14 in front of the Straz Center. Downtowner – Free, green ride service

Downtowner vehicles operate seven days a week in Tampa’s downtown business district which includes the Channel District, River Arts District, the University of Tampa area, and the non-gated north end of Harbour Island. Rides can be requested through the Downtowner app (www.ridedowntowner.com) or by hailing a vehicle on the street. Taxi rides

Taxi rides for two or more people are only $4 per person within the In-Town Zone (Downtown, Channel District, Ybor City, Harbour Island, Davis Islands and Hyde Park). Taxis can be hailed from all hotels and taxi stands throughout Downtown Tampa, or call Yellow Cab at (813) 888-5008 or United Cab at (813) 253-2424 for service.

Royal Regional Lot

On weekdays, we recommend arriving after 6 p.m. Parking is available any time on Saturday and Sunday. The Royal Regional Lot is a 0.3-mile (6-minute) walk to the Straz Center and currently charges only $2/day. This daily rate is subject to change and may increase during special downtown events. We recommend downloading the Parkmobile App for hassle-free payment (www.parkmobile.com). Alternatively, you can use the first-come, first-served on-site parking Pay Stations.

Because of construction surrounding the Straz Center, many familiar sidewalks are now closed. The new, recommended pedestrian route from the Royal Regional lot to the Straz Center can be downloaded here.

Rivergate Tower Garage

We recommend this garage for an inexpensive option that avoids the congestion immediately surrounding the Straz Center. The least expensive event rate (currently $7.00) is available only by pre-purchasing your parking at strazcenter.pmreserve.com.

The garage is only a short, 6-minute walk to the Straz Center along the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk or along Ashley Drive (access from the garage to the Riverwalk may be unavailable during major Curtis Hixon Park events). Please call SP Plus Parking at (813) 221-2754 for information.

William F. Poe Garage

Straz Center Valet Parking

Located in the Straz Center Arrival Plaza off of Tyler Street. Current valet rates are $18 for off-site and disabled parking and $25 for on-site. Valet rates are subject to change without notice.

On-Street Parking

Street parking, using parking Pay Stations or the Parkmobile App (www.parkmobile.com), is available near the Straz Center on Fortune Street (in front of the Barrymore Hotel), Doyle Carlton Street (from Fortune Street to W. Laurel Street), Tyler Street (bordering the library), Ashley Street and near Water Works Park. The meters/spaces are free weekdays after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Some meters/spaces have a 4-hour time limit.

Fort Brooke Parking Garage

There are approximately 500-600 parking spaces available and the garage is roughly a 15-minute walk to the Straz
Center. You can walk north on Ashley Drive or take a more leisurely stroll on the Riverwalk to the Straz Center.
